• For Data Me2U, all Weekly and Monthly MTN Data bundles can be shared with up to five (5) beneficiaries per day by the principal data bundle owner.
• However, Data resources shared through Data Me2U will cumulatively be limited to 2GB per day from the principal number.
• Once shared through Me2U, the validity of the shared resources is seven (7) days for the beneficary.
• Data Me2U is a permanent offer from MTN.
• To benefit from Data Me2U, all users – beneficiaries and benefactors alike, must possess an MTN SIM card.
• To share MTN data through Me2u, customers can dial *100#, and/or *160# interactive USSD menus, as well as through the MyMTN.
• MTN bears no risk for the sharing of the resources by a subscriber in favor of another subscriber without the sender having secured the recipient’s consent.

All the following Monthly Data Bundles and the Freedom Data Bundles as availed to all MTN Uganda Customers for purchase will be shareable as detailed below:

• Not all Monthly Data and Freedom Data bundles will be shareable.
• Customers are free to buy and use the sharable Monthly Data or Freedom Data bundles individually or share the resources with other MTN customers.
• The principal data bundle owner can onboard up to five (5) other MTN numbers at any given time.
• The principal data bundle owner can change the beneficiary numbers any time they please, and as many times as they please.
• Data sharing is a permanent offer from MTN.
• To benefit from Data Sharing, all users – beneficiaries and benefactors alike, must possess an MTN SIM card.
• MTN customers are free to buy the sharable data bundles as many times as they desire.
• To buy any of these data bundles, customers can dial the *100#, *150#, and/or *160# and/or *165# interactive USSD menus. The other alternative purchase and activation options are through the “buy for other” option, as well as the MyMTN and MoMo Apps.
• Payment for any of the data bundles can be done using MTN Airtime or MTN Mobile Money.
• Customers are free to “buy for others” the sharable Monthly Data and Freedom data bundles through the same *160# and *165, as well as the apps.
• To check the balance, customers will dial *131#. Balance chance, in the case of Data Sharing, is limited to the principal data bundle owner. The beneficiaries cannot view the balance.
• The shareable data bundles are available for purchases to both prepaid and postpaid customers.

• MTN will support the communication of the sharable data bundles and data Me2U with marketing support at the points of sale, in the digital and online environment as well as out-of-home assets.
• In case of support, customers will call the general helpline (100) for all product related inquiries for the data bundles.
• By using any one or all of these products, customers permit MTN to use their voices, pictures and life stories to be used in MTN’s marketing communication for the period of 12 months from the time the service was activated for them.
• MTN shall bear no responsibility for any harm and/or losses occasioned to customers arising from the use of these products.
• Information regarding the sharable data bundles and data me2u that is published on authorized advertising material will also form part of the terms and conditions of the data bundles.
• MTN may in their sole discretion amend these terms and conditions at any time, or terminate the sharable data bundles and/or data me2u altogether, but with notice to the regulator, and subsequently update these terms and conditions on the website.
• MTN’s decision is final in matters relating to the sharable data bundles and data me2u. No correspondence will be entered into once the products are legitimately purchased and provided, shared.
• Benefitting customers will receive SMS and/or telephone notifications from time to time from MTN Uganda.
• Any additional products or services not included in the offered value proposition but required by the customer for a fulfilling a desired user experience, will need to be arranged and paid for separately.
• If for any reason any aspect of the data bundles is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any cause beyond the control of synergy which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the data bundles, MTN in its sole discretion may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the data bundles, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the local regulator.
• MTN will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with the data bundles, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
• MTN reserves the right to change the any attribute of the sharable data bundles and/or data me2u at any time.
• Subject to confirmation, the data bundles cannot necessarily be used in conjunction with any other existing promotions or products.
