To activate the Tourist sim, you will need to avail your travel documents like Passport and Visa. An agent will help you with the registration process.

Customers will dial *165# to activate the MOMO Account.

Customers are free to buy the Tourist combo bundles, Open Market Voice or Data Only bundles & international calling bundles. There is no limit to the number of times you can purchase any bundle however all purchases are strictly by Airtime or MOMO.

Tourists can go to any MTN Mobile Money agent to load the equivalent of UGX shillings to their MOMO Wallet.

The Tourist SIM card is valid for as long as your Visa is valid. The SIM card will be automatically deactivated when your VISA expires.

You can get a maximum of one free SIM from MTN during your stay.

Yes. In case you lose the SIM, you can replace it at any of the MTN Service Centers.

Yes. All you need to do is head to our MTN Service center, present the physical free Tourist SIM, and request for it to be transferred to an eSim.
